Huron River Watershed Council in SE Michigan has been making waves to protect the river and watershed for over fifty years. With an iconic heron logo that had become dated, HRWC desired an update, but preferred not to enter into an entirely new logo design project. We proposed a simple “evolution” of the logo, and the organization was thrilled. The beautifully formed heron helped us stayed true to the organization’s heritage, but new circular shape and vibrant colors gave the logo new life. This project is a favorite of ours not only because we love this incredible nonprofit and the work they do; but we were able to give great value while also demonstrating the beauty of the art of re-use.
